Janik opened 15 west 9th street as a boutique hotel the following year. Hollywood celebrities like Sandra Bullock, Emily Watson, Sex And The City producers, Jennifer Jason Leigh, director Michel Gondry and writer Delia Ephron. All have called Janik’s discrete and uber chic hotel, their home away from home while on location in manhattan
The celebrated interior designer is not only recognized by the the high profile and celebrity clientele who have lived in his interiors. He is also widely recognized in international press. Janik is featured in house and gardens’ “Inside the homes of collectors” issue, Casa Abitare, Vogue Magazine, Architectural Digest “Best of America” issue and A&E’s 'House Beautiful' hosted by Donna Hanover Giuliani.
In addition, some of John Janik’s most recent creations include, retail store environments, a furniture collection and several renovations of architecturally significant residences.
Janik studied at parsons school of design. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
